How we keep VerifyMyDate trustworthy
Transparency into our sources, methods, privacy and security.
Data Sources
We use lawfully available public records, authorized data providers, official registries and public web information. Every source is classified by tier: Official, Established, Public Database, or Unverified Public Content.
Accuracy
Public-record databases can contain outdated, incomplete, duplicated or incorrectly matched information. We use identity-matching processes to reduce mistaken matches, but you should independently verify consequential information using the original source.
Identity Matching
We never strongly link records based only on a common name. Matches weigh full name, date of birth, address, phone, email, username, employer and photo. Confidence is shown as Strong, Probable, Possible or Insufficient.
Privacy
No public person pages. Reports are private, authenticated, and not indexed by search engines. Uploaded photos are used only for the requested analysis.
Security
HTTPS, encrypted transit and rest, secure authentication, role-based access, audit logs, and no raw payment card storage (Stripe tokenization).
Corrections
Every report offers a Request Review path. If you believe a record is incorrect, you can submit a correction request with supporting documentation.
Permitted Uses
Reports are for lawful personal informational and dating-safety purposes only — not employment, housing, credit, insurance or other regulated eligibility decisions.
Transparency
Source tiers, evidence strength, confidence and limitations are displayed alongside every material finding.
AI Methodology
AI assists with claim extraction, image analysis and pattern detection. AI output is probabilistic and always labeled as such; it is never presented as authoritative fact without underlying evidence.
Public Source Policy
We do not bypass private accounts, use stolen or breached datasets, or attempt unauthorized access to any platform.
